back! Told you it'd be soon. And im in a significantly better mood:)
Maybe its cuz ive had some sleep. Just woke up actually haha. its 11pm now!! Came back, sat on the bed, and promptly fell asleep. Thank goodness i didnt sleep through till next morning, what with com430 AND com431 awaiting me.
Jamming is tiring. Was at tony's place in the afternoon jamming with him and two of his friends, and we were at it for close to 5 hours. We're playing a few songs tomorrow at his farewell/birthday party. We managed to find some decent goodbye songs...not sappy ones like 'leaving on a jet plane'. Heh. Everyone ive asked so far for song suggestions would invariably name that song!
i like jamming at tony's. ive mentioned before that his room is like a studio in itself. i love his marshall amps! Tube amps with the warm 80s rock tone that i love. Today was great fun. We finished practise quite early, but we all got carried away and started playing other stuff:) i am going to miss jamming with tony. And playing with good guitars always makes me happy.hahaa oh yes. i have found the love of my life!

Ibanez JS 1200 Signature model! Ah. i covet thee!
Got to play with it again today :):) i tried it out when tony first got it about two months ago.. it was love at first sight/feel/note. i used to think signature models were overrated. This is perfect.
Aesthetically- Gorgeous candy apple red.
Feel- The neck is very comfortable. i love the thin ibanez neck and jumbo frets. Enables you to execute fast licks with ease and fluidity.
Tone- Joe Satriani. Enough said.
Oh ya. Its very light! Much as i love my Epiphone, its frickin 5kg.
Now i am in such a dilemma whether to get it or not! The rational side of me knows i should save the money for gear acquisition instead. But my heart (and wallet) alr belongs to the JS! sigh.
Had dinner with the parents after that at bukit timah. They have THE best chilli stingray there :) i dont take spicy stuff usually, but for the stingray i just tahan because it is dam nice. So oily, spicy, sinful- but such gastronomical indulgence. heh.
i have COM430 report to finish up by tonight. COM431 presentation by tomorrow. Man. Next week's going to be madness, with deadlines and quizzes before recess. But at least recess week is coming. Even though everyone knows recess doesnt actually equate to having a break, but not having to travel to our island at 830 (every tuesdays and thursdays for me ) counts for something right :) Always look on the bright side. ahaha. Trying to psych myself for COM430. Dick Cheney and the wonders of image repair. till later!
